At DaarAisha, we protect all information in our care and respect the right of every individual to privacy as a basic Islamic right.  This commitment is demonstrated in our policy on information privacy. The major points of the policy are concerned with how personal information is collected, used, kept and disclosed and the right that individuals have to access that information. 

We, at all times, collect personal information in a fair and lawful manner.  We collect only relevant personal information directly from the person concerned (or from a third party with the consent of the individual). At the time that the personal information is collected, we will inform the individual:

• That the information is being collected;
• What the information will be used for; and
• The individual's rights to access and correct the information.

We use personal information:

1. To announce new events/courses to the individual.

2. In instances where an individual requests information about schedules and content of upcoming courses or information regarding DaarAisha premises and teachers, etc..

3. To update academic records when needed e.g. assessments and attendance.

We will disclose personal information held only to the person to whom the personal information relates.  Personal information will be provided to third parties only if we first obtain the written consent from the individual to whom the personal information relates.

Our policy on information privacy will be made available to any person who requests a copy.

Any personal information is securely stored in softcopy or hardcopy at  the DaarAisha premises in Sydney, Lakemba. An individual about whom we have personal information may request access to their personal information at any time.
