Course on Families-Family law & History of the Khulafa

One of the most striking features of Muslim society is the importance it attaches to the family.  The family unit is regarded as the cornerstone of a healthy and balanced society. 


Daar Aisha Shariah College introduces a year long mini course on THE MUSLIM FAMILY.  This is the first course to be conducted in 2008 introducing 2008 as the YEAR OF THE FAMILY.


This course will be conducted on Saturdays as well as on Thursdays.  You may choose to attend one of these sessions.

History of the Khulafa'

This component of the course comprises the following topics:

The institution of Khilafa:  Its origin, structure, dynamics, conditions of a Khalifa, how is a khalifa chosen, duties of a khalifah, responsibilities towards a Khalifah etc...

The Khilafah of Abu Bakr al Siddiq (r.a.)
The Life of Aisha (r.a.)
The Khilafah of Umar al Farooq (r.a.)
The Life of Hafsah (r.a.)
The Khilafah of Uthman Zul Noorayn (r.a)
The Life of Ruqayyah & Um Kulthum (r.a.)
The Khilafah of Ali Ameer al Mu'mineen(r.a.)
The life of Fatemah (r.a.)

Family Law

An in depth comprehensive study of Family Law in Islam.  This will include a detailed study of Family Law in all of its aspects according to the Shafei and Hanafi mazhabs.
